One of the many basic needs of the modern world is a credit card. Many people assume like that today. We have available many different types of credit cards with all kind offers. One type of special credit cards is called a 0 APR credit cards. 0% APR credit card was introduced in the late 1980s. This type of credit card is still a favorite, and became one of the most sought when compared with the available credit cards anywhere. As with choosing any type of credit card, there are a few tips and tricks regarding 0 APR credit cards. If you want to be an applicant, you have to do it consciously.
With special credit card with 0% APR, you do not need to pay the balance, and what more you can even charge up to the limits without having to maintain any monthly interest charges. But many people wondered how the companies want to give 0 APR credit cards without gaining profit?
0% APR credit cards have not any monthly fees, but it has an annual fee which you are required to pay the rights of 0 APR credit cards. The cost that you should pay generally ranges from $ 15 to $ 20, even more. With a 0% APR credit card does not mean that you can make your dues payments whenever and wherever you want. It is important to remember that you must make payments on time. If not you will have to bear the high cost of delay. Credit card holders have to pay between $ 20 to $ 40 for each late payment. If you are accustomed to a late payment, the amount will gradually accumulate into a very high fee.
You also must remember that 0 APR credit cards offer for only a defined time period. Credit card interest is only good for certain time period, usually ranging from 3 to 15 months. After this period is complete, the interest could be higher and typically reaches 12% or higher.
A good idea to read the terms and agreement on a credit card when applying for a 0% APR credit card. This should be done because many credit cards might not only set the default rate for late payments, but also includes a default rate that will be added to the annual percentage rate.
One of the most important consideration when applying for 0% APR credit cards is reading all the paragraphs of the treaty known as the fine print. This is because although a credit card company is prohibited to hide fees and charges, but there is no prohibition for them to mention it in small print! 0% APR credit cards company usually announce their 0% APR with a big bold but hide the fact that this is only for a limited time and additional costs may be included.
Thus, it can be concluded that although 0 APR credit cards seem very attractive and inviting the desire, there are some loopholes and tricks in its use that could harm customers. For this reason, it is advisable for you to read the terms and conditions as detailed as possible at the time of appointment of card application for 0% APR credit card or any other credit cards. Read it thoroughly to avoid problems in the future, so you do not get headaches or financial surprises.
